Biography and Creative Path
Svitlana Kryukova is a Ukrainian journalist, writer, and artist. She started her career in media with economic journalism and gradually focused on politics, going through the stages from correspondent to editor in various media projects.
In the pre-war years, against the backdrop of opposition and journalistic investigations, Kriukova began to dilute her work with political activism and pranks, ridiculing politicians of the time.
This is how the famous works from the series of political satire appeared, each of which documents the historical curiosities of Ukrainian politics. Amidst the excitement and demand, art took on a life separate from politics, and the subjects began to go far beyond political satire.
Thus, portraits of prominent contemporaries, abstract interior works, and erotic scenes appeared in Kryukova's collection.
